Outdoor Classroom for Entrepreneurship Class

Students, Leticia Cidrao and Donald Halliday had a project where they had to come up with something the school could build to make the students life better. They decided to create an outdoor classroom because studies show that students who learn outdoors develop: a sense of self, independence, confidence, creativity, decision-making and problem solving-skills. They hired me to create a 3D model of what it would look like in order to show investors the expectation. The core values for the representations were well-being, health, happiness.
Leticia and Donal expect that some day the outdoor classroom will be built for the Shawnigan Students to enjoy.
The objective of my job was to create a representation of an actual place with the add on of the outdoor classroom. At the beginning of the process I had to visit the intended space, which is the science building and study carefully the measurements of the space. Based on that, I copied off the portion of the building that was going to be used and transformed into a whiteboard, and added the benches. The colours and shapes were all taken from inspiration from the place. I believe that the values of well-being, health, and happiness are well represented because this area will bring a peaceful environment where students can enjoy the nature and sun while still learning and studying.
